The youngster has just won her maiden title in Bogota‘ after an extremely challenging week following 4 rough 3-setters.
Mental strength is Anisimova’s secret
During an interview with El Tiempo Amanda admitted that working on her psychological side is the key to her success to comment
“I really worked a lot on the mental part, in the sense not to get affected by anything that can happen and the consistency of playing several tournaments to get to know various people, tournaments.
All this experience little by little will help me with climbing up.”
… hard work is also essential
Then Anisimova added
“Hard work is necessary to achieve the level required by the sport and the country. There is more competition, to the point where we have many players at a high level.”
Amanda is currently ranked no.54, and she is 22 in the Year to Date rankings. The future is bright.
