At the Western & Southern Open on Thursday, Hubert Hurkacz defeated fourth-seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3, 6-4 to end his dry run against Top 10 opponents.
Harkacz surprised the audience with a tweener shot during one of his match points. It was remarkable to witness how smoothly and efficiently he played this shot.
Hurkacz expressed his joy and enthusiasm following the victory and said: “I’m really pleased with the way I played, with the way I tried to use the conditions because it was really tricky. It was super windy, and the ball was definitely moving a lot.”
