The US Open, which begins later this month, has given wild cards to two-time champion Venus Williams and former world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki.
The 43-year-old Williams will compete in the main draw for the 24th time at Flushing Meadows, where she won back-to-back championships in 2000 and 2001. Wozniacki is competing in her first Grand Slam match after announcing her retirement following the 2020 Australian Open.
Three years after quitting from competition to start a family, Wozniacki announced in June that she was returning. The USTA said at the time that she would receive a wildcard into the tournament where she had finished twice as runner-up.
On August 28th, the US Open gets underway in New York.

Until now, during this year Wozniacki achieved a composed 1-2 record.
Wozniacki will compete next at the U.S. Open (U.S. Open). She will start the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 28th of August.
