Federer 1 step from 85th title

Roger Federer has already won 2 titles this year (Brisbane and Dubai) and he is going for his third.

The Swiss Maestro has reached the final at the inaugural tournament in Istanbul after winning a couple of tough matches against Gimeno-Traver and Schwartzman in the previous 2 rounds.

The world no.2 has now to face clay court specialist Pablo Cuevas that has dismissed Dimitrov 6-2 6-4 in the semifinal.

Roger: Cuevas is playing very well

The Swiss seems to be preoccupied with his next opponent “Cuevas is playing very, very well. I think it’s going to be a tough match. Cuevas has obviously played a lot on clay.”

Cuevas: Used to have the crowd against me

Pablo knows that the crowd will back Roger, but that is not bothering him “I come from a small country, and I’m used to having the crowd against me. Playing Roger tomorrow will be like playing Roger in his hometown.”

Roger and Pablo have never played each other so far…

Head to head Federer Cuevas
