Denis Shapovalov gives bad news to the Canadian tennis fans since he is not able to compete in the upcoming ATP 1000 event in Toronto. The world number 2 released the following statement on social media:

“Disappointed to announce my withdrawal from the @NBOtoronto. I’ve been doing everything possible to get my knee healthy and be able to compete but unfortunately, it needs more time. There’s no greater honor than playing at your home tournament and I will miss playing in Toronto.”

the tournament has already lost the participation of some other top players such as Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios. This is the latest entry list.
