Federer has a convincing win at the Miami Open

Roger beats Filip Krajinovic in straight sets to face Medvedev in the 4th round.

Miami Open. Roger Federer has a very convincing performance in the Miami 3rd round against Filip Krajinovic.

The match

Federer was extremely sharp on his serve with the notable exception of the 3rd game when he was broken at love (1-2). Eventually, the Maestro broke back immediately (2-2). The Swiss sensation survived a break point in the 11th game (40-AD), but after holding his serve, he grabbed the decisive break in the 12th game before winning the opener 7-5.

That was a pivotal stint for the 37-year-old that won 5 consecutive games since the 1st set was on 5-all scoreline to grab a solid 7-5 3-0 lead after he broke the Serbian in the 2nd game of the second set. That lead proved to be too much for his opponent because Federer didn’t concede any break point until the end of the match. The final score was 7-5 6-3, and the contest ended after 90 minutes.
