The Brit has a strong 24-8 win-loss record in 2019 after playing and winning a lot of matches. He reached the 2nd round at the Australian Open where he started from the qualifications. He was the runner-up at the Quimper Challenger and in Delray Beach (where again he came straight from the qualifications).
In Florida, Daniel failed to qualify for the main draw of the Miami Open, but he was re-admitted as a lucky loser. Eventually, Evans won the first round against Malek Jaziri 6-2 6-0.
