After the final loss at Wimbledon, Djokovic now withdraws from National Bank Open presented by Rogers in Toronto due to fatigue.

Djokovic Not Playing In Toronto

Novak Djokovic has withdrawn from the National Bank Open presented by Rogers in Toronto, according to Tennis Canada’s announcement on Sunday. It’s quite clear that Novak Djokovic wants to be fully fit for the US Open and therefore he has already announced that he will compete only in Cincinnati.

The 36-year-old, reached the Wimbledon final before losing to Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz in a tough finals match. Djokovic has won the singles championship four times at the National Bank Open and has had a lot of success there in the past.

Djokovic shared this in an interview recently: “I have always enjoyed my time in Canada but after speaking with my team, we believe this is the right decision to take. I would like to thank Karl Hale, the Tournament Director, for understanding this decision. I really hope I can return to Canada and Toronto in the coming years to play in front of great fans there.”

Recently, Djokovic has been spotted on a family holiday in Croatia following his heartbreaking final loss at the 2023 Wimbledon Championship.
