Bouchard wins solid opener in Indian Wells

Finally Genie
Bouchard
is back to winning ways in Indian Wells. The young Canadian has
started a partnership with her new coach Sam Symek, but the new adventure didn’t
start well with Genie crashing out in the opener in Antwerp. After her debacle
in Belgium, Genie retired from Dubai and Monterrey for an alleged injury to her
arm.

Bouchard had her first test in Indian Wells
against
Lucie
Hradecka
and that went quite well with the Canadian winning 6-2 6-2.

Genie will now face world no.36 Coco
Wanderweghe
in the 3rd round. This is the first time they play
each other.
