Naomi Osaka didn’t have the run she was hoping for in Indian Wells where she wasn’t able to defend her title after she lost to a fantastic Belinda Bencic in the 4th round.

The world no.1 is currently in Miami where she will try to win the title with the help of a very strong following.

Not many points to defend

The “good” news is that she will not have many points to defend since last year in Florida she lost in the second round to Elina Svitolina. Therefore, the Japanese is expected to add more points to her rankings to fend off the “offensive” from Petra Kvitova, Simona Halep, Angelique Kerber and Elina Svitolina that are aiming at dethroning Naomi from the top spot of the rankings.

Training in Miami

Naomi has already completed her first training in Miami and she is ready to go for more. The world no.1 will also be happy for the fact that the organization granted a wildcard to her sister Mari.
