During the press conference following her contest against Danielle Collins, Naomi shared with the journalists how she is improving her forehand following the advice of her new coach Jermaine Jenkins. Naomi commented

“Recently Jay [her coach] was telling me not to swing so much. He tells me that [this problem] is more on my forehand side [too much take back].

I have been working on that and I think it’s getting better. So I guess it’s a good advice that I got recently.”

Naomi will face Belinda Bencic in the 4th round. They have never played each other so far in an official match.
