Simona Halep looks as solid as ever in Indian Wells.
The world no.2 is still coachless after her brief stint with Thierry van Cleemput, but it seems that her tennis doesn’t suffer from that. The Romanian is playing pretty well and she had a routine win against Barbora Strycova in her opening match in Indian Wells after beating the Czech 6-2 6-4. Simona was never troubled by the world no.50 as she got a strong and early lead in both sets (4-1 and 3-1).
Next vs. Katerina Kozlova
Simona will face the world no.114 Katerina Kozlova in the 3rd round. They have never played each other so far.
