“Last time he was against me,” says Andy Murray in a funny exchange with Federer in Wimbledon

Andy Murray won Wimbledon's first round against Ryan Peniston, and he made fun of Roger Federer.

Andy Murray And Roger Federer

Andy Murray won a straightforward match against his compatriot Ryan Peniston in the first round of Wimbledon. The British sensation was happy to have Roger Federer watch his match. After the encounter, Andy Murray made fun of Roger Federer, saying that the last time the Swiss legend was watching him on the Wimbledon Center Court, he was actually cheering against the Scottish player. On that occasion, Roger was in Stan Wawrinka’s box (a fellow Swiss player) during the Olympic Games.

“It was amazing to have some royalty here, but also some tennis royalty as well. It’s amazing to have Roger here supporting the event. Last time I was on this court and he was watching was during the [2012] Olympics and he sat in Stan Wawrinka’s box supporting against me!

So it was nice to see a couple of claps today after some good shots but no, it’s amazing.”
