Rick Macci, the famed Venus and Serena Williams’ childhood coach, and Coco Gauff’s dad have recently held conversations about a future partnership, according to Coco.
The American acknowledged that she and Macci will collaborate at the end of the season if a deal is struck during her pre-tournament press conference at Wimbledon.
She revealed, “I haven’t spoken to Rick personally. But, yes, he and my dad converse a lot. Not just now but over the years. Yeah, that was one of the options for doing that after the season is over. Obviously, it’s far from now, so I can’t really confirm. But, yeah, I believe, based on what you told me, everything is true.”

Coco Gauff and Venus Williams fought against each other only twice. The head to head is 2-0 for Gauff. The last time they played, Coco Gauff won 7-6(5) 6-3 in the 1st round in Melbourne (Australian Open) in January 2020.
