Rafa: it was complicated

Nadal commented “It was a complicated match. I knew I was going to play against a player who won Sao Paulo, who’s playing well, who came here with confidence and that’s how it was. It was a complicated time at the beginning, but in the second set I felt better. I felt better control in the match even though I could not break him until 6-5. I’m happy because this was an important victory for me, to be able to be in a semi-final. It’s a great result; it gives me points, confidence and the opportunity to play tomorrow. I hope I’m recovered.”

The semi vs. Fognini

Rafa will play Fognini in the semifinal. Head to head is 4-0 for Rafa that is the overwhelming favorite to get to the final also because Fognini was struggling at the end of his match.
