Bouchard obtains a wild card for Dubai

Genie Bouchard is trying to tune-up her tennis after hiring Sam Sumyk as her new coach. The coaching relationship had a false start with Genie crashing in the opener in Antwerp against Mona Barthel where she lost in 3 sets.  The Canadian will give another shot in Dubai where she has just obtained a wild card.

The Organization

Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice Chairman of Dubai Duty Free  “We are thrilled that Eugenie Bouchard has accepted a wild card into the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. She has risen very swiftly to the top of the game and draws huge crowds wherever she competes, even generating her own Genie’s Army of enthusiastic supporters. Her participation here will make competition for the title stronger than ever and it is impossible to predict who will emerge at the end of the week as the winner.”

Genie will join a strong pack in Dubai lead by all the other top10 players with the exclusion of Maria Sharapova that will play in Acapulco the following week.
