Carlos Alcaraz played an interesting semifinal after the recent French Open against Novak Djokovic. Unfortunately, the Spanish sensation crumbled at the beginning of the third set after just a couple of hours struggling with cramps. Eventually, he lost 6-3 5-7 6-1 6-1.
During a recent interview with L’Equipe, Carlitos disclosed he was unhappy with how he prepared that match to say: “I didn’t prepare well for the match, for what awaited me. I put too much stress on myself, too much pressure. After the two 1st sets which were super demanding, if you add the extra tension that I put on me, it happens what happened.”

WLWWWWWWWW Ranked world no.2, Carlos played his last match on the 9th of June when he lost to world no.1 Novak Djokovic 6-3 5-7 6-1 6-1 in the semifinal of the French Open (draw).
Presently, during this year Carlos achieved a composed 35-4 win-loss record. The Spaniard has won 4 titles in 2023 in Buenos Aires, Indian Wells, Barcelona and Madrid. Alcaraz reached the final in Rio de Janeiro.

LWWWLWLWWW Currently the world no.1, Djokovic played his last match on the 11th of June when he beat world no.4 Casper Ruud 7-6(1) 6-3 7-5 in the final of the French Open to win his 94th career title.
At present, during this year Novak achieved a compiled 27-4 record. The Serbian has won 3 titles in 2023 in Adelaide, Australian Open and French Open.
Djokovic will compete next at the Wimbledon (Wimbledon). He will start the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 3rd of July.
Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic fought against each other only twice. Their head to head is 1-1. Before, the last time they locked horns, Novak Djokovic won 6-3 5-7 6-1 6-1 in the semifinal in Paris (French Open) on the 9th of June 2023.
