Nadal and Kyrgios on a collision path in Acapulco. SEE DRAW

Rafa and Nick may clash as early as in the 2nd round

Rafael Nadal is back to competitions in Acapulco after his great run in Melbourne where he reached the final.

The world no.2 didn’t have a great draw in Mexico as he is projected to face Nick Kyrgios as early as in the 2nd round. The Australian is well known for being extremely tuned-in and dangerous against top players, and he has great memories against the Spaniard after Kyrgios obtained his “breakthrough” win against him in Wimbledon back in 2014.

The top seeds in Acapulco are Nadal, Zverev, Isner, Schwartzman, De Minaur, Tiafoe, Johnson, and Millman. The defending champion is Del Potro that was not able to compete because he is still recovering from his knee injury.
