Maria Sharapova seems unstoppable. After saving 2 math points in the second round against Alexandra Panova, Maria has trashed every single player on her path. Makarova had to face the same destiny as the other players to lose 6-3 6-2 in the semi against the Russian Queen.

Maria will play her (and everybody’s) nemesis Serena Williams in the final. Head to head is 16-2 for Serena that has won the last 15 matches against the Russian. Last time that Maria defeated Serena was in 2004 (!!!) and the Russian has won only 1 set in the last 11 encounters. But if Berdych has stopped a 17 matches losing streak against Nadal, why Maria can’t do the same?
