Simona Halep conquers an extremely tough and spectacular match against an inspired Genie Bouchard in the second round in Dubai on Tuesday.
The match
Even if Simona was the favorite to win the encounter, the Canadian is well on her way back on Tour with a much-improved tennis compared to the previous year.
In the opening set, after an exchange of breaks in the 6th (4-2 for Simona) and 7th game (4-3), the pair went straight to the breaker that the Romanian won 4.
In the second set, Simona conquered the decisive break in the very first game (1-0) before winning the match 7-6 (4) 6-4 in 1 hour and 42 minutes.
