Gael Monfils has an impressive start of his campaign in Sofia after defeating Viktor Troicki 6-3 6-4.
The Frenchman was in great form to never drop his serve for the entire match. Therefore, a break per set was enough for Gael to defeat Troicki. The encounter lasted just 59 minutes. Monfils’ girlfriend, Elina Svitolina, was also attending the match.

“I feel very good. There is great energy here, the people are very nice, and it is an amazing stadium. It was a very good [tennis], I returned very good, and the key was a great serve.”
Gael will face either Laslo Djere or Mikhail Kukushkin in the 2nd round.
