Ana Ivanovic has started the new season in the best possible way!
The Serbian Beauty is as fit as ever and she has showed an incredible degree on maturity on court during this week in Brisbane to reach the final playing a very complete tennis.
In the semifinal Ana has just managed to beat a sticky Varvara Lepchenko 7-6 (2) 6-4 after a fierce battle. Ivanovic refused to capitulate in the first set to deny twice Varvara to grab the set on her serve and win the opener at the breaker. In the second set Ana was struggling to conquer the match even after she got a 5-1 lead. Varvara played her best tennis right on the match points, but eventually it was the Serbian Beauty to advance to the final.
After this week Ana will be back to the top5 as she will leapfrog both Genie Bouchard and Agnieszka Radwanska. More to come!
