Serena Williams was voted the Associated Press Female Athlete of the Year 3 times so far (2002, 2009 and 2013). The world no.1 was expected to win again in 2014, but that award was taken by 13-year-old Mo’ne Davis.
Mo’ne got a huge attention when this year she shined in the Little League World Series mowing down batter after batter (BOYS) dazzling fans of all ages on the pitch and impressing with her interviews.
