Carlos Alcaraz has said that he prefers to commit himself fully on the court rather than be constrained, against the wishes of his coaching staff. Unfortunately, the Spanish sensation has been struggling with all sorts of injuries, and many tennis pundits said that he needs to manage his body a bit better.
During a recent interview with Marca, also Carlitos coach Juan Carlos Ferrero said that he would prefer Alcaraz not to chase every ball so as to preserve his body.
“We tell him there are balls that are not necessary, but when he comes out, he tries not knowing if it will come right, wrong, or fatal. There are balls that are impossible, and it would be better to leave them, but fighting and running are in his DNA,” said Ferrero.

Carlos Alcaraz will compete against the world no.38 Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the quarter on Friday at 4:00 pm on PISTA RAFA NADAL. In the past, they have never played each other as of now in top events.
Carlos conquered 2 titles in 2023 in Buenos Aires and Indian Wells. The Spaniard was the runner-up in Rio de Janeiro (Rio Open).
