Bianca Andreescu is definitely the big surprise of this beginning of 2019.
The 18-year-old had an astonishing run in Auckland to reach the final coming straight from the qualifications beating the likes of Caroline Wozniacki and Venus Williams.
The Canadian had to play the qualifications to access the main draw of the Australian Open, and she did it in style and without any effort after conceding 6 games in 3 matches. Bianca has now an incredible 10-1 win-loss record in 2019.
