WTA makes history with $525 million deal

There is no doubt at all that Stacey Allaster is doing an amazing job for the WTA. The charismatic Chairman & CEO for the Women The Women’s Tennis Association strikes an incredible 10-year  media agreement with PERFORM.

The WTA will give its media rights to the agency for $525 million over a period of 10 years.  According to PERFORM this is the “the largest live media rights and production venture in the history of the WTA and in women’s sports”

Allaster stressed the significance of the long term commitment from PERFORM ”Their investment at this level makes a very significant statement about the value they see in the WTA.  comes at a time when we look at the horizon and we will have a changing of the guard of our current top stars, which shows the value and depth of our rising stars.”

Part of the deal

PERFORM will take care of all media content and strategy of the 2000 matches played every year. In addition they will increase the production of news content by 40%.
