Tough luck again for Juan Martin Del Potro.
The Argentine has struggled for many years with a series of wrist injuries that cost to him 4 surgeries, and he has recently fractured his knee in the recent Master ATP1000 in Shanghai.
Juan Martin had to skip the rest of the season in 2018 also to renounce to play the ATP Finals.

The Argentine announced on the social media that he is happy about his recovery, but unfortunately, he won’t be able to compete in the first slam of the year to say
“I hope you have a great 2019. Recovery is going great and I will tell you later where I will be making my comeback. Unfortunately, it won’t happen in Australia, I’ll miss you @AustralianOpen, but I’m happy with my progress
Happy New Year! Enjoy! ”
It’s not clear when the world no.5 will manage to get back to competitions.
