Why Nadal is not happy with his 2018

Rafa explains why he is not 100% satisfied with his season

Rafael Nadal had a rather interesting 2018.

Even if the Spanish sensation won 5 tournaments and his 11th Roland Garros (17th slam), he wasn’t entirely happy with his season. In fact, the world no.2 was able to fully compete only on 1 tournament on hard courts in Toronto (and he won it!), and he played only 9 tournaments, but he was able to complete just 7 of those after he withdrew from the Australian Open and the US Open.

Why Nadal is not entirely happy with his 2018

During an interview with ‘Vamos ‘of Movistar, Rafa commented

“I can not be happy because I’ve gone through difficult times; the results have been very good when I competed, but I have completed less than any other year in my career because of the physical problems.

I have been punished more for injuries than any other rival of mine. The good thing is that I usually come back stronger.

I do not think it’s a matter of kilometers (years) because when I had less, I also had injuries.

Nature has given me virtues and defects and the injuries, especially in the knees and the foot.”

Rafa will complete in the Mubadala World Tennis Champions the 28th of December when he will face either Kevin Anderson or Hyeon Chung. That will be an interesting test.
