Naomi Osaka has a rather peculiar career. At 25 years of age, she already has 4 slams under her belt, and she is now out of competition following her pregnancy. Naomi started her ascent with coach Sascha Bajin. Soon after she won her first Australian Open, she surprisingly decided to part ways with the German coach.
During a recent interview with Essentially Sports, Bajin explains why he still has faith in Naomi Osaka and her chances of having a proper comeback after pregnancy.
“I do always want to think that she has the ability to bounce back,” said Sascha. “It’s going to take a lot of work, but she’s still young. The way she’s gifted with her body and her shots, she’s very fast around the court.”
“So, I definitely think if she gets the right people around her to help her make sure she dedicates as much as she can of besides being a mother, everything else into tennis, then I do want to give her a chance,” he added.

Ranked world no.64, Naomi played her last match on the 20th of September 2022 when she had to retire when playing against world no.63 Daria Gavrilova in the 1st round and the scoreline was 1-0 .
During this season the Japanese has achieved a 14-9 record.
