Nick Kyrgios still has to play his first match of the season. The Australian sensation had to skip the entire Australian summer because of a minor knee injury. Nick underwent surgery, and he aimed to recover in time for Indian Wells and Miami, which will be played in March. However, that will not happen, as the Australian player pulled out from both events. It is not clear when he will be back to competitions.

Ranked world no.19, the Australian played his last match on the 6th of October 2022 when he defeated world no.132 Kamil Majchrzak 3-6 6-2 6-2 in the 2nd round in Tokyo (draw).
