Novak Djokovic is in Dubai with his coaching team, where he will face either Tallon Griekspoor or Constant Lestienne in his opening match. Novak Djokovic has won the title in Dubai five times already. Last year, he was strangely upset by Jiri Vesely in the quarterfinals, when he lost 6-4, 7-6.

Ranked no.1, Djokovic played his last match on the 29th of January when he beat world no.3 Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3 7-6(4) 7-6(5) in the final of the Australian Open to win his 93rd career title.
