Coric chooses Zeljko Krajan as his new coach

Time to step up for Borna Coric.

The young Croatian had an amazing second part of the season to win the Challenger 35 in Izmir and reach a great semifinal in Basel after beating King Rafa.

These results allowed the Croatian to break in the top100 (now 92) and so to receive the prestigious ATP Star of Tomorrow Award as the youngest player in the top100 (see article). Borna wants more.

New Coach

Coric has decided to part ways with British coach Ryan Jones to team up with Zeljko Krajan (also from Croatia).

“I am happy to announce as of immediately I will be working with Zeljko,” Coric said in a statement. He has a world of experience on the tour and I’m very much looking forward to spending time and learning from him. Really believe we can be a great team and hopefully achieve together big things.”

From Krajan

Zeljko has already had some important partnership with great players such as Safina, Cibulkova, Robson, and Baghdatis.

“I’m really excited to be part of Coric’s team and I hope together we can bring out his best tennis. He is without doubt one of the biggest stars of the future and I can’t wait to get started.”

Let’s see what this partnership can be to Borna’s game.
