Wozniacki ready for the New York Marathon after loss

Quite often when people end up their romantic relationship they try to get as fit as they can, the same happened to Caroline Wozniacki.

The Dane was brutally dumped by her fiancé Rory McIlroy on May (see article) to try to find new ways to focus her attention. After few weeks it was clear that Caroline refocused her attention on being fit and regaining her best tennis: she achieved both.

The former world no.1 has played a great season finale in Singapore to lose at the photo finish in the semifinals against her dear friend Serena. That wasn’t the end of the “sporting season” for Caroline that is now heading to New York to run the Marathon that will be held the 2nd of November.

Caroline: I’ll dive on marathon mode

Soon after her loss to Serena Wozniacki said “I’m diving into marathon mode, as of now. I’m going to probably go for a little jog tomorrow, just run off some of the soreness I’m probably going to feel tomorrow. A little half hour, 40 minute run tomorrow and stay by the pool. Then head to New York very soon.”
