Murray wins an incredible title in Vienna

Andy Murray grabs his 30th career title after winning an incredible final.

After exchanging the first 2 sets, Andy and David Ferrer engaged in a thrilling decider. Murray got a 2-0 lead in the third set to lose 4 consecutive games (4-2 for Ferrer). At the point it was clear that Spaniard had the best chances to win the title: that didn’t happen. David got shaky while serving for the match (5-3) to incredibly lose 4 consecutive games. The final score was 5-7 6-2 7-5 with the match ending after 2 hours and 42 minutes.

This final wasn’t one of the finest in tennis history. Both players were struggling for pace and both had serious problems with their serve. With this win Andy becomes the new world no.8 in the Year to Date rankings to boost his chances to qualify for London. “The next few weeks are extremely important. Everyone is playing next week. I just need to win as many matches as possible to keep hold of the eighth spot or go higher.
