Mackenzie Mcdonald had a fantastic experience at the Australian Open when he defeated (an injured) Rafael Nadal in the second round. However, the American player fell short in the following match against Yoshihito Nishioka, who defeated him in straight sets (7-6, 6-3, 6-2). Soon after the match, Mcdonald gave a horrible handshake to his conqueror. The tennis fans on YouTube didn’t approve of that.
A fan said: “I thought I detected a bratty element to Mackenzie in the Nadal match (in the interview afterward he said he was looking forward to some “revenge” against Nishioka), but he really proved what a sore sport he is in this match. I’m glad he’s out.”
Another one added: “if injured or not, respecting the opponent is the most important thing in each sport lack of sportsmanship for McDonald.”
