‘This is tough’ – Novak Djokovic biggest Australian Open threat not Nadal or Alcaraz, but…

Mats Wilander says that it is difficult to pick just one player to watch out for at the Australian Open.

Novak Djokovic

Three-time Australian Open champion Mats Wilander has a rather peculiar opinion on who is going to be Novak Djokovic’s biggest threat in the first slam of the year. Mats says that it is difficult to pick 1 name. He believes that the Russian player will be the one to watch for Novak Djokovic. He believes that Daniil will be even more dangerous than world number 1 Carlos Alcaraz and defending champion Rafael Nadal.

“Daniil Medvedev would most probably be the biggest threat that I see to him [Djokovic]. Of course, Rafa is going to be there and give a big challenge, but I would think Novak is a pretty heavy favourite this year,” he said.
