Cori Gauff is currently in Auckland, New Zealand, where she is leading the upcoming WTA250 event. Coco is in Auckland with her family and they have been enjoying going around the local surroundings.
Talking about her experience, Coco commented:
“I feel like you’re going from being home and being on vacation almost and then you come to Auckland and you still feel at home, instead of jumping right into competitive mode.
It’s such a great transition into tour mode and that’s why I like coming to this tournament. I never thought I would ever come to New Zealand when I was younger, I didn’t even think that was a possibility.”
Coco will kick-start the new season by playing against that Tatjana Maria.

WWLWLWWLWW Ranked world no.7, the American played her last match on the 11th of November 2022 when she lost to Katerina Siniakova 7-6(1) 6-1 in the Rubber 2 in (draw).
This season Coco achieved a 38-23 record.
She is also scheduled to play in Australian Open (Australian Open) after Auckland. The main draw will start on the 2nd of January.
