UNITED CUP. Rafael Nadal happy to play against Nick Kyrgios and Cameron Norrie

Rafael Nadal will play in the United Cup next week. The Spaniard will represent his country in the newly minted mixed team competition. The 22-time Major winner will face the likes of Nick Kyrgios and Cameron Norrie during the tournament.

Rafael Nadal will play in the United Cup next week, where he will face the likes of Nick Kyrgios and Cameron Norrie. The Spanish sensation will represent Spain in the newly minted mixed competition. His team is in the same group as Australia and Great Britain.

Recently, the 22-time Major champion was questioned about his season-long preparation strategies. He disclosed that he would soon fly to Australia to take part in the ATP and WTA’s team competition known as the United Cup.

Talking about the upcoming competition in Australia, Rafael commented: “It is likely that I will travel on December 26 because on the 31st I made my debut in the United Cup – a newly minted mixed team tournament – facing Cameron Norrie. Sharing a team with my colleagues makes me excited, and it will surely be a fun experience,” Nadal stated in an interview for Marca.”

Talking about clashing against Nick Kyrgios, Nadal added: “I am going to play at least two games before the Australian Open – on January 2 I will face Nick Kyrgios – which will come in handy and hopefully we can advance further but it is clear that the draw – Spain shares a group with Great Britain and the local Australia – is complicated.”
