Holger Rune had an outstanding second part of the year after ending the season with an ATP1000 title in Paris, beating the great Novak Djokovic in the final. The 19-year-old also broke in the top 10. Now ranked no.11, he wants much more in 2023 and he clearly stated that his aim is to win a slam.

“I have not made my plans for 2023 yet,” Rune said to Relevant Tennis. “I will sit with my coach after my holidays and we will go through it. But I know what I want. I want to win slams. I won an ATP 250, I reached an ATP 500 final and I won a Masters 1000. It’s time for a slam win.”
