Holger Rune won ATP1000 title in Paris after beating Novak Djokovic in the final. 19-year-old also broke into the top 10 for the first time and is ranked no.11. Rune wants to win a grand slam in 2023.

Holger Rune had an outstanding second part of the year after ending the season with an ATP1000 title in Paris, beating the great Novak Djokovic in the final. The 19-year-old also broke in the top 10. Now ranked no.11, he wants much more in 2023 and he clearly stated that his aim is to win a slam.

“I have not made my plans for 2023 yet,” Rune said to Relevant Tennis. “I will sit with my coach after my holidays and we will go through it. But I know what I want. I want to win slams. I won an ATP 250, I reached an ATP 500 final and I won a Masters 1000. It’s time for a slam win.”

At the moment ranked no.11, Rune played his last match on the 6th of November when he overcame world no.5 Novak Djokovic 3-6 6-3 7-5 in the final in Paris to win his 3rd career title.
