The ATP Finals have just started and it is great to see that the qualified tennis players are having a lot of fun. During a recent interview, Casper Ruud revealed a funny episode. According to the Norwegian player, Andrey Rublev gave Auger-Aliassime the nickname “Oxford.”
Casper revealed that the Russian player gave that nickname to Felix because he is incredibly well-spoken. Talking about Felix, Casper commented: “He’s very nice, very humble, very well-spoken, I would say. It was funny.
We were here at the Media Day on Saturday, I think. Andrey gave him a new nickname, which is ‘Oxford’ because it seems like he is so well-educated. I think if you go to Oxford College, it seems like you have a good education, and are well-spoken. I think it’s a little bit funny name. It suits him well.”
