‘I miss my son,’ says emotional Nadal in Paris

Rafa Nadal explains why he is finding it so difficult to play in Paris after becoming a father

Nadal About His Son

Rafael Nadal will play his first tournament as a father. The Spanish legend and his wife Xisca became parents of a baby boy less than 3 weeks ago. During a press conference in Paris, Nadal admitted that he is finding it very difficult to stay away from his baby boy.

“It has always been difficult to leave home to be honest. Now it’s different again. After three weeks knowing my son, it’s a difficult experience in life to have to miss him, you have to adapt it. But we are lucky to make video calls any time we want,” he confessed.

Nadal will play his opening match on Wednesday against either Tommy Paul or fellow Spaniard Roberto Bautista-Agut.
