Andy Murray and Emma Raducanu share an excellent relationship and the former world number 1 is always available to give his constructive opinions to help her. Emma Raducanu had to deal with an impressive array of injuries during the current season. Emma has just hired Andy Murray’s former physical trainer Jez Green to strengthen her body. However, Andy believes that the British teenager needs to find some stability in her coaching team to progress.

“I think with any coaching relationship, whether it’s strength and conditioning or tennis, it’s kind of making sure that you’re spending enough time with that person to be able to really make a difference,” said Murray.

“I think sometimes unless you really dedicate the time to it is kind of difficult to make a difference. So if they get to spend enough time together, I’m sure that that would be helpful for her. If it’s not Jez, then a strength and conditioning coach full time I’m sure would be helpful.

Trying to improve the physical side and avoid the niggles and injuries, and the best way to do that is to get stronger and have someone around you more consistently,” he added.

Emma Raducanu is indeed too prone to continuously change her coaching team. Since Wimbledon last year, Raducanu has had 4 head coaches and she is looking for the fifth one. That’s definitely too much.
