It’s a tough time for some former US Open champions with their coaching teams. Emma Raducanu was recently ditched by her coach Dmitry Tursunov who preferred a partnership with Belinda Bencic. 2018 and 2020 US Open champion Naomi Osaka also parted ways with her coach Wim Fisssette last summer.

Something similar happened to 2019 US Open champion Bianca Andreescu who was publicly dropped by her coach Sven Groeneveld. Sven and Bianca had been working together for slightly more than a year when the coach decided to part ways publishing the following poster on social media.

“After more than a year of coaching Bianca, I have decided not to extend our collaboration. I am keen on new challenges in the men’s or women’s game. Wishing Bianca and her team great success going forward.”

Currently the world no.46, the Canadian played her last match on the 20^th

of October when she lost to world no.3 Jessica Pegula 6-4 6-4 in the 3^rd round in Guadalajara (draw).

Currently, during this season Bianca has achieved an overall 19-12 win-loss record. Bianca Vanessa Andreescu’s best accomplishment of the present season was reaching the final in Bad Homburg.

Emma Raducanu in 2022

Now ranked no.76, Raducanu played her last match on the 4^th of October when she was overcome by world no.8 Darya Kasatkina 7-5 6-4 in the 1^st round in Ostrava (draw).

At the moment, during this season the Brit achieved an overall 17-19 win-loss record. Emma Raducanu’s best accomplishment of the current season was reaching the semifinal in Seoul.

Bianca Vanessa Andreescu and Emma Raducanu played each other just once. The head to head is 1-0 for Andreescu. When they played, Bianca Vanessa Andreescu won 6-2 2-1 ret. in the 1^st round in Rome (Internazionali BNL d’Italia) on the 10^th of May 2022.
