Carlos Alcaraz didn’t have the week he was hoping for in Basel where he lost in straight sets to Felix Auger-Aliassime in the final 4. The Canadian player was vastly superior to the world number 1 who also committed an impressive array of unforced errors (15 vs. 7 winners). Carlito will try his luck again in Paris where he will be the seed number 1 in the local ATP1000 event.

After losing to the Canadian player, the Spanish teenager posted the following message on Twitter.

Currently ranked no.1, the Spaniard played his last match on the 29th of October when he was defeated by world no.9 Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-3 6-2 in the semifinal in Basel (draw).
