Emma Raducanu has just announced that she will not play the Billie Jean King Cup and Judy Murray, Andy Murray’s mother, was not happy about that. The 2021 US Open champion had a rather tricky 2022 after struggling with a rather uncharacteristically number of injuries.
Emma was not fit to play in the last few tournaments after struggling with a wrist injury. Raducanu was fully committed to representing Great Britain in the upcoming Billie Jean King Cup. Unfortunately, Emma had to renounce playing in the prestigious competition because she did not recover from the injury. Judy posted the following comment on Twitter.

‘I didn’t slam her!”
Some outlets reported that Judy slammed Emma. However, that is not true since she said that she was just disappointed for everyone but she was not criticizing Emma at all.

LLWWWWLWWL Ranked world no.76, Raducanu played her last match on the 4th of October when she capitulated to world no.8 Darya Kasatkina 7-5 6-4 in the 1st round in Ostrava (draw).
Currently, during this season Raducanu achieved a composed 17-19 win-loss record. Emma Raducanu’s best accomplishment of the present year was getting to the semifinal in Seoul.
