‘I have improved mentally,’ said Tsitsipas

Stefanos Tsitsipas says that he is confident he is on the right track

On Thursday, Stefanos Tsitsipas lost a rather tough match against Borna Coric in the second round in Vienna. The Greek sensation looked not at his best from a psychological point of view, struggling to keep his composure.

Interestingly enough, after losing the final in Stockholm the previous week, the world number 5 said that he believes that he has improved, especially from a mental point of view.

“It is never easy to chain consecutive weeks of competition. Fortunately, I was able to benefit from a day of rest and I was able to learn from the Stockholm final, which allows me to approach this new event with a fresh mind'” said Stefanos.

“I have a lot of ambition for the next few weeks. I believe in the process I’m following, I want to be the best, but I’m aware that it takes time and I have to take it step by step. I think I’ve improved mentally this year and I’m more consistent.

The fact of participating in the ATP finals for the fourth consecutive season is proof of my regularity, but I want more,” he added.
