David Goffin is unstoppable!
After a mediocre year (due to slow recovery from a wrist operation), the Belgian has won 25 consecutive matches from the beginning of July. This has allowed David to win 3 challengers and his first APT career title in Kitzbuhel.
David now is set to win his 2nd ATP title in Winston-Salem. Goffin has just defeated Nieminem 6-4 4-6 6-4 to play Janowicz for a place in the semifinal.
Goffin: I am very confident
David commented “Of course after 25 matches you have a lot of confidence, you don’t think you’re going to lose, but I play every match like it’s the first one in the tournament, like it’s the first one of the season and I give everything. And with my confidence I keep winning, so I’m very happy.”
