Juan Martin Del Potro and Rafael Nadal are both struggling with a wrist injury that is messing up their double-handed backhand.
Del Potro
Delpo is still recovering from his operation to the left wrist and he won’t be able to participate to the US Open. Juan Martin is widely expected to come back by the end of September in Malaysia. (see all related articles)
Nadal
Rafa has injured his right wrist in training to skip both Toronto and Cincinnati. Now it is unsure if the world no.2 will make it for the US Open. Nadal was meant to announce his participation to the last slam this weekend, but he said he is still unsure.
Rafa should say something by early next week. All this “postponing” doesn’t look good though.
