Bad news from Rafael Nadal’s camp.
The Spanish legend has been sidelined for a wrist injury to skip both Toronto and Cincinnati. His presence is not sure for the US Open. Rafa said he would have announced his intention on Tuesday, but that didn’t happen. Yesterday the world no.2 said he will decide at the end of this week.
Nadal: My dream is to play
Rafa commented “My dream is being there and I will work for it. If it has healed I’ll have to try and see how I feel when I train and on Friday or at latest Saturday a decision will be made”
Rumors say that Rafa won’t make it for the US Open. In the past when Nadal was delaying a decision about playing an important tournament he often withdrew at the very last moment. Let’s hope this time it is different.
